Here are two, very technical papers that discuss some advantages of rhythmic movement as well as pandiculation (think of a big yawn). In both papers they mention Tai Chi, yoga, or Qi Gong. If interested see me (Brad) for translations. Pandiculation Paper (references yoga and qi gong), Fascial Training Paper (this paper mentions martial arts. I have highlighted parts of this paper and added some notes, as the movements described are just what we do in Tai Chi.) Science continues to catch up to Tai Chi.
We are pleased to announce our Annual Cloud Hands Tai Chi Reunion at Westerbeke Ranch Conference Center.
The ranch is located in a beautiful and tranquil setting in the Sonoma Hills, 2300 Grove Street, Sonoma.
We will stay in cozy cabins that have private rooms for individuals and couples. Each room has a bathroom and a private entrance. It is a short walk to the practice room, the dining room and pool. The swimming pool is unheated but the weather will be very warm. There is a hot tub as well.
The cost is $775.00. The cost includes lodging, three gourmet meals a day, and a large meeting room. Wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.
